Description
Cestlavic® Sneaker Topcoat is engineered to seal and protect artwork on sneakers and adjacent leather products. This topcoat dries to a silky finish and makes the surface flexible, water-resistant, and scratch-resistant. Suitable for use on leather, canvas, and wooden surfaces; it also works seamlessly over leather acrylic-painted surfaces. Not recommended for suede, nubuck or rubber. This water-based topcoat is non-hazardous and non-flammable.
This topcoat is super simple to apply and is self-leveling. After your Sneaker Tattoos and paint (if any) on your sneakers are completely dry, apply 3-5 thin layers of topcoat to seal in your design.
- To apply, decant about 1 tablespoon from the bottle. Only decant what you need, you can always pour out more topcoat when you run out.
- Use a wide, flat, synthetic paintbrush to apply the topcoat in a thin layer covering the entire panel.
- Change the direction of the brushstrokes by 45° angle for each layer to reduce streaking.
- Let the last layer fully dry to the touch before applying the next.
- Apply in total, 3-5 layers of topcoat for maximum protection.
- Let the topcoat dry for at least 24 hours before wearing. The topcoat can take up to 7 days to fully cure and reach its maximum durability.
This topcoat is non-toxic and non-flammable but can stick to surfaces and be difficult to remove. Always work on a protected surface and avoid contact with eyes or mouth.
The bottle is made of plastic with an easy screw nozzle to dispense the topcoat.
