Description
A blend of the finest air-floated ball clays, Standard Clay Company 101 Hugo Buff Clay has a wide firing range for throwing and modeling. It fires to a buff color at a low temperature (Cone 02), and to a soft gray color at Cone 9.
An economical choice for schools and beginner potters, this clay throws well on the wheel, and adapts well to all craft glazes.
Bisque fire to Cone 02 (2052°F) and fire to Cone 9 (2336°F). At Cone 02, shrinkage is 9% and absorption is 5%. At Cone 9, shrinkage is 12% and absorption is 3%.
