Eco-friendly both in their formulation and production, Schmincke’s Norma Professional Oil Colors are made in Germany using naturally renewable raw materials.
Both traditional and contemporary pigments are used in the highest possible concentrations for an extraordinary degree of luminosity. Ground on a traditional three-cylinder mill, colors are left to mature for a period of three months before packaging to guarantee optimum development of the raw materials within these pure oil paints. Combinations of pure, high-quality linseed and safflower oils ensure good adhesion and superior pigment absorption with less tendency to yellow.
All Norma colors display a creamy consistency, producing a balanced texture when mixed together. The drying process is even for all colors, resulting in a brilliant, resistant surface.
Each of Norma’s 84 modern and traditional colors display the maximum degree of lightfastness. The line includes 27 high-quality transparent and unique rare colors. Highly lightfast Chromium Yellow colors achieve a high degree of coverage, while special colors include Poppy Red, Cobalt Turquoise, Agate Brown, Schweinfurt Green Hue, Neutral Black, Gold, Silver, and Bronze.
Norma Professional Oils can be combined with Schmincke Mussini colors and other oil paints.
