Schmincke MUSSINI® Fine Artist Resin Oil Colors use the recipes of the old masters to provide unparalleled brilliance and luminosity in a truly reliable paint film. Vats of Schmincke oil colors are stored for up to three months before paint is added to the tubes. This vat time allows the linseed, safflower, and walnut oil to coat the pigment thoroughly. Different amounts of dissolved damar resin are then added to guarantee tension-free color layers that dry harmoniously. The addition of dissolved dammar resin depends on the oil requirement of the particular color. As a result, each of the 108 color shades has an individually balanced recipe.The high luminosity, outstanding lightfastness, and depth of light that can be achieved with Schmincke MUSSINI® Resin Oil Colors make them a pleasure to use.
