Schmincke Horadam Naturals Watercolor – Celadonite, 15ml Tube
A delicate grey-green with semi-translucent characteristics and good lightfastness, Celadonite is derived from the French word “celadon,” which means sea green. Celadonite has been used in painting since ancient times, including classical Rome.
The natural pigments are sometimes slightly coarser in texture, which – unlike gouache – results in a rougher, usually slightly granular surface effect. The colors aren’t stiff but don’t flow as easily as traditional watercolor.
