There’s no need to spray layers of fixative when working on Pastelmat Sheets. Pastels adhere so well to the surface that you can apply several layers without the colors becoming too saturated or muddy. Pastelmat offers a velvety texture that is softer than sandpaper. Course cellulose on the surface grabs broken pastel pigments and pulls them into the paper. It’s so versatile that, in addition to pastel and pastel pencils, Pastelmat will support most dry and wet media, including watercolor and gouache.
