There are many ways to use the Painter’s Color Diary. Some examples are:
- Swatching new color purchases
- Testing color palettes for an upcoming painting
With this Painter’s Color Diary, swatching metallic, iridescent, and pearlescent watercolors is quick and easy. Each black-and-white swatch box allows you to judge color opacity and luminescence in one convenient place and shows how each color appears on both white and black watercolor paper.
The color diary is spiral-bound with removable pages so that you can work on multiple sheets simultaneously. Once dry, you can reinsert the pages between layers of the included glassine so they don’t stick together. The top of each color chart has a space for writing the paint brand, the date, or an assignment title.
The color diary is truly a game changer when it comes to planning the mood of a painting.
