Michael Harding Oil Colours are among the finest oil paints available to artists today;
The colours have a high load of premium pigments which are ground in refined cold pressed linseed oil (safflower oil in Titanium White No. 1);
They are completely free of fillers, extenders, or driers, resulting in pure, rich, and vibrant colours that are lightfast and buttery;
Michael Harding paints are made by hand, using techniques which date back to the days of the Old Masters;
There is a very simple reason for this painstaking process – Harding’s past as an artist and painter compelled him to want to create colours that were true and vibrant and paint which was beautiful and durable;
The greater the pigment content of a paint, the greater the resistance it has to fading;
Nearly all manufacturers use various fillers to extend the volume of the oil paint – it may increase profits, but it compromises on quality. Harding refuses to do this: ‘Why make something exceptional and then dilute it?’;
