Get a stunning, colorful look with Mayco Lead-Free Jungle Gems Crystal Glazes and Sets. These glazes contain small pieces of glass frit that transform into splashes of color and patterns when fired. Use them alone for overall dramatic effects or combine with other glazes to add visual interest. You can also create your own unique glazes by layering different crystal glazes, as the crystals will burst through the glaze surfaces.

While Jungle Gems Crystal Glazes are formulated to mature at cone 06/05, many can be fired to higher temperatures. Firing the glazes vertically or flat will affect the final look, as these glazes will move during firing, affecting the flow of the crystals. You can find the mid-range (cone 6) performance of each glaze on the individual color label or on Mayco’s website. Higher heat work will increase the movement, which means the lower portion of the ware should not be glazed completely.
