Calcined Bauxite is an extremely hard mineral that imparts earthy color and interesting textures to paintings, collages, and mixed media works. Mined in Far North Queensland, Australia, it can be combined with a range of mediums. For optimal adhesion, it is important to ensure that mixtures are not too dry.
Ferrous Powder can be combined in a 1:1 ratio with varnishes to create a water-resistant, dark gray magnetic coating on paintings and mixed media works. Ferrous Powder should not be sprinkled, and large amounts may cause the canvas to sag.
Lang Lang, available in Sand and Gravel (7 mm) formats, consist of five grades of purified sand.Ideal for use in paintings, mixed media, and collage.

Wollastonite produces a more uneven texture than Ground Quartz, making it exceptional for use with harder pastels. (use Ground Quartz for soft pastels).
Mica Flakes are natural silicate minerals with a shiny, pearlescent finish. To retain their shimmer, sprinkle small amounts onto wet mediums and apply a varnish. For unique textural effects, use up to equal parts mica flakes and paint.
Black Flake Hex is made of precision-cut coated polyester film. Use these gleaming hexagonal flakes to create striking visual effects and distinctive textures on paintings and indoor sculptures. To preserve luster, use in combination with gloss mediums as a final finish or sprinkled onto freshly painted surfaces.
Ground Marble is a white transparent powder. It can be mixed directly with paint to add bulk without compromising color quality or mixed with mediums in a range of proportions to create interesting textural effects. Crushed Garnet is a deep red gemstone with luminous transparent properties. Very hard, it can be used in glazes or mixed with varnish to achieve even deeper tones. It is also suitable for adding texture to paintings and collage. Mix up to equal parts Crushed Garnet with transparent gel or gloss mediums to best maintain its clarity.
