Masterpiece Elite Portrait Smooth Oil Primed Linen Stretched Canvas is a conservator-approved, archival quality canvas that offers an ultra-smooth painting surface. Ideal for portraiture, acrylic and oil painters can realize maximum luminosity as the brush dances over the surface.
Two coatings of size and four coatings of oil primer are hand applied to belgian linen for a final weight of 14 oz per square inch. Solid wood stretcher bars made from the finest-quality, renewably sourced, wood from the Pacific Northwest creates the frame that the canvas is stretched around. Impeccably stretched with a 1-1/2″ profile, the canvas can be hung with or without a frame. Larger sizes feature custom-size, corner diamond braces.
