Joe’s Prime Linen Canvas is 100% pure artist-grade linen that has been triple-primed with acrylic gesso. Linen canvas, as opposed to cotton canvas, offers a smoother painting surface with greater strength and longevity due to the fiber’s natural tensile strength.
This panel is triple-primed with an acid-free acrylic gesso with the sides completely turned under and glued to prevent fraying and separation. The entire area of the 10 oz. linen canvas is firmly mounted on an acid-free board.
Smooth – This smooth-textured, 11 oz. linen canvas has that unique natural linen weave, and is suitable for both oil and acrylic painting. Its smooth texture is ideal for portraiture.
