Description
Gilder’s cushion or pad is a flat wooden board padded with felt and covered with tightly stretched chamois leather, with a parchment screen at one end in some cases. Gilders use the pad as a base on which to manipulate and cut loose-leaf metals when gilding. Our gilder’s cushions are available in different sizes, styles, and colors.
At present, the only cushion style available is a black leather pad measuring six inches square. The images of the pad show the top and bottom views.
