Description
A variety of mediums and sundries for your Encaustic painting applications!
Pure white microcrystalline wax is used as a plasticizer. It is more flexible than paraffin and melts at 170°F to 180°F. It is ideal for building up layers of texture on your encaustic paintings and ensures the integrity of your paint film.
Microcrystalline wax melts at a higher temperature than beeswax or most encaustic paints, which allows the application of encaustic colors over a modeled area with minimal disturbance to the sculpted surface. Proper ventilation is required.
