Derwent Tinted Charcoal XL Blocks are specially formulated deliver bold, expressive marks in a range of rich, earthy shades. Soft, chunky rectangular blocks contain a large volume of formula, the equivalent of eight pencils per block. Excellent for large scale drawings or detailed line work, ergonomic blocks allow artists to use corners, edges, or flat sides for a wide range of textures and effects. They can be used whole, broken into pieces, or grated into powder. Naturally watersoluble, some water can be added to manipulate the texture for interesting effects.
