Use the Iridescent Gold Gesso to create a lustrous metallic ground. Daniel Smith makes this luxurious gesso by mixing professional-grade acrylic emulsion with Mica and iron oxides. Once dry, the gesso has a gorgeous metallic sheen that shows through brushstrokes and gives transparent paints a golden glow.
Over time the heavy Mica particles in this ground will sink to the bottom of the container. Before application, you should mix the gesso with a palette knife to reincorporate the Mica back into the gesso.
