Yellow Gold Ochre – This color was developed for the American Journey line at the request of artist Vlad Yeliseyev. Yellow Ochre Gold is based on the earthy yellow ochre but is a little darker and leans towards orange. It’s perfect for warm underpainting, in landscapes, and for mixing muted greens and dusty oranges.
When it comes to mixing colors, there is nothing I use more during the painting process than Yellow Ochre Gold. It is darker than Yellow Ochre and lighter than Burnt Sienna, striking the perfect balance when mixing in the triad of primaries for that all-important midtone. – Vlad Yeliseyev
