Cadmium Red Light – This color was added to the American Journey line at the request of artist Vlad Yeliseyev. Cadmium Red Light is a warm, intense, glowing red that is a vermillion shade and can even be used as an orange. It has a warmer undertone than Cadmium Red. Bright and bold, it can be used to add a pop of color to your painting, or mix with greens or turquoise to create subdued reds and beautiful chromatic grays.
Cadmium Red Light serves a specific purpose of drawing attention to the focal point in the painting. In my palette of colors, I can find no more intense color than this particular red which is impossible to mix. Cadmium Red Light must be premade to be that intense, and can be darkened but not vice versa. Must have it! – Vlad Yeliseyev
