DANIEL SMITH Extra Fine GOUACHE – Indian Red, 15ml Tube -DANIEL SMITH Extra Fine™ GOUACHE is a professional grade water-based paint that dries to an opaque matte finish. GOUACHE is made with the same high-quality pigments, and gum arabic as DANIEL SMITH Extra Fine™ Watercolors but is formulated with more pigment to be richly opaque. Whites and other fillers are not used to make the color more opaque.
Inspired by the deep, lush reds found on the subcontinent of India, opaque Indian Red is a rich chestnut reddish brown. Artists choose Indian Red for architectural renderings, old bricks and other subjects where a flat (matte) granular surface is desired. The opacity and density intrinsic to Indian Red make this grayed earth brown a useful asset. One coat of this low-intensity pigment covers even a highly saturated passage.
