The Yasutomo Man-Made Suzuri Stone is a flat grinding stone used to make Sumi ink. A sloping indentation and small well at one end, the Sumi ink stick is ground on the stone surface with water to produce liquid ink. The man-made stone is a combination of powdered natural stone and cementing compound, which is molded under high pressure to produce a quality economical stone.
The Suzuri Stone Sumi set contains two Sumi brushes, one Sumi ink stick, and one Suzuri stone in a beautiful paper box. An illustrated step-by-step instruction sheet on how to paint bamboo is included. A video QR code is also provided.
