Holbein’s unique manufacturing process involves computers and machines from start to finish. They guarantee color consistency by scanning all the pastels to monitor pigment distribution and purity. The 2″ L × 5/16″ square pastel shape is easy to hold and less prone to breakage. You can use the side or the edge of the pastel for line work, bold strokes, and shading. We recommend that you use a UV pastel fixative to prevent colors from fading.
