Epoxacast 655 Special Order is a versatile aluminum filled castable epoxy resin that is very hard and strong. It is dimensionally stable, even when mass cast up to 512 in³ / 8,390 cm³. This epoxy resin is suitable for various applications, including making hard tooling, vacuum forming dies/molds, injection molds, foundry patterns, jigs and fixtures, and metal forming dies.
Key Features and Benefits
Epoxacast 655 Special Order epoxy has high physical properties and can be mixed with different hardeners (101 FAST, 102 MEDIUM, 103 SLOW, or HT HIGH TEMP) to suit project requirements. It is low in viscosity, does not require vacuum degassing, and can be colored with UVO or IGNITE colorants. Additionally, it can be added with dry fillers, Epic Thinner for improved flow-ability, and Flexer Epoxy Flexibilizer for increased flexibility.
Preparation and Application
To ensure a successful application, it is essential to follow proper preparation and mixing procedures. Make sure to mix the epoxy resin and hardener thoroughly, and apply a release agent to prevent adhesion to non-porous surfaces.
Curing and Finishing
Epoxacast 655 Special Order epoxy can be cured at room temperature or heat cured in a dedicated industrial oven. Once cured, it can be dry sanded, machined, or painted with acrylic enamel paints.

When working with Epoxacast 655 Special Order epoxy, make sure to wear safety glasses, long sleeves, and rubber gloves to minimize skin contact. Also, use a NIOSH approved respirator and work in a well-ventilated area.
