A versatile, mid-fire clay, Standard Clay Company 153 Stoneware Clay reacts well to all techniques and is the perfect choice for production potters and classroom use. This Cone 6¬–10 clay achieves a warm beige color in oxidation. In reduction, it achieves a rich gray-brown color. It has an average shrinkage of 12% and absorption of 5% at Cone 6. At Cone 10, it has an average shrinkage of 14% and absorption of 0.75%.
