The Winsor and Newton Artists’ Oil Flat Brushes have a long flat head for blending, glazing or covering large areas. This range of brushes features a longer bristle length for greater color carrying capacity. They create a broad mark with a soft edge and are similar to the Extra Long Filbert. The brushes have unique, double bodied long handles for exceptional balance. The elegant black matte handles feature gun metal ferrules that minimize light reflection when painting.
About Winsor & Newton Flat Brushes
Handcrafted using the finest interlocked Chungking bristles, the natural curve of the bristle provides excellent spring and is extremely resilient, retaining its shape far longer than other brushes. The brushes are stiff, the bristles flagged (i.e. split at the ends) allowing large amounts of color to be carried and applied evenly to the surface. The uniquely crafted handle offers great balance and control. They are some of the finest quality traditional hog brushes.
