Binder for making watercolors.

Gum arabic has been a traditional binder for watercolors for centuries. To improve the durability, paintability and shelf life of the colors we have developed this medium from gum arabic, honey and glycerin. Most pigments can be used with it to make an excellent watercolor. – Kremer Pigments

Painter’s Note: This medium is irreplaceable. Georg Kremer formulated a binder that makes the pigment be the star. This is the binder Kremer Pigments uses to make their handmade watercolors. If you want to learn about color, paint as much as you can with watercolor. With a low refractive index, it makes the pigment’s personality trait truly stand out without too much of the presence of the binder. The binder doesn’t rub off easily like other watercolors and the pigment sits on top.
