Enkaustikos Hot Cakes Wax Medium is a versatile product and is essential in every encaustic studio. All Enkaustikos paints begin with a wax binder. Adding additional wax medium while encaustic painting will enhance the flow and workability, and the colors will last longer. Wax medium will increase the transparency of encaustic paints. Use wax medium as a base coat on raw wood surfaces. Perfect for collage, printmaking, image transfer, or applied as a topcoat to add depth to finished encaustic paintings.
