Gamblin 1980 Oil Colors – Kings Blue, 37ml Tube
A traditional Kings Blue, indispensable for painting sky and water. The 1980 formulation is lighter in value than Gamblin’s Artist Grade interpretation of this color. Warmer than Radiant Blue and slightly deeper in value. A modern interpretation of a historical color, Kings Blue brings out a warm, rich tint, and was prized by royal families of 18th and 19th-century Western Europe. Less violet and more opaque than blues formulated with smalt.
